Aging Out of Foster Care

Our Aging Out of Foster Care program focuses on those who have or who are about to turn 18 and are subsequently dropped from the foster care system. Without support, twenty-five percent of them become homeless in the first year; fifty percent are unemployed during the first two years. BB4Kids is committed to helping these young adults up to the age of 21 so that they may transition into becoming contributing members of the community and remain independent and free from becoming a statistic on the homeless roles.

What may seem like a small expense to an adult can be a huge stumbling block to an eighteen-year-old stepping into the adult world. Our goal is to assist with tuitions, uniforms, job or career support, transportation, job appropriate clothing, and household needs.

WHERE DOES YOUR CASH DONATION GO?

BB4Kids uses your cash donations to fulfill specific needs and requests of foster and disadvantaged children involved in any of our programs.
